Througout the state of Arizona and especially in phoenix there are numerous DUI checkpoints. Outside the state of Arizona DUI checkpoints are most prevalent in Los Angeles, San Diego and in other cities where driving is the main mode of transporation. These are checkpoints are randomly setup typically at night and are especially more prevalent during holidays when driver’s are most likely to indulge in alcholic beverages. New Year’s Eve is probably the biggest night for checkpoints like these and we recommend that you take extra precautions. If you end up at one of these and are intoxicate you will most likely be arrested on the spot. Remember, in Arizona nobody can force you to take any test, but they can confiscate your license if you refuse a blood test. The best way to avoid getting a DUI is not drinking in the first place or having a designated driver that night.
